Sticking it to the Stigma

There has been a lot of talk lately surrounding mental health. This post may have been inspired by seeing A Star Is Born for the second time and weeping in public AGAIN. Some people roll their eyes at it, because "another story about mental health" is taking over their feeds. Well, friends, I am here to tell you that mental health is so important, it needs to be a priority for all of us.  What does that even mean? Do you take care of yourself? Or do you just run yourself ragged until you can't physically stay awake? Do you take time for you - to do something that you love and makes you feel awesome? Or do you ignore all that because everyone else needs something and you can't stop until everyone else is taken care of? Do you listen to your thoughts? Or do you ignore how you feel because you don't want to burden anyone?  I have always been that person - that takes care of everyone else before I take care of myself. XoXo, Gossip Girl

I read a quote the other day that has resonated with me for a few days now. We live in such a fast paced, need to know immediately world. We demand instant gratification, it's a competition between "friends" to find out information before the other, it's shooting others down when you already know something. Day 9 of 30 Today's topic is celebrating those closest to me, who make me the best version of myself!  When your friends get promoted to best friends, you have to give them a shout out! I will not name these ladies by name, because I have decided to keep names out of my posts on here - privacy and such.  Contrary to popular belief, you can have more than one best friend, and IT'S OKAY TO HAVE BEST FRIENDS. I know, breaking societal stereotypes. You are also allowed to do whatever the EFF you want with your life, so if you have people who can't support you, move on.  So... without further ado... I will highlight my top 5 favorite people, with others to follow in another post later this month!  BFF #1: I don't know where to begin with this one. We've known each other for what seems like forever, but it's only been 3 years. We met at my previous job and while we don't see each other or talk every day, I know she's got my back 100000% becaus...
