Sort of? I know my mom does, and Nana definitely did.

When we were kids, Nana worked at CVS. She always had that year's ornament, for us. I have mine now, as an adult. 

Mom collects Hallmark's Mary's Angels - and has every single one of them. It's become a running gift every year - and some years Kyrie goes shopping and gets it herself! She's so thoughtful, that puppy.

I hope to start collecting some annual ornaments. And ornaments from places Mike and I visit.

 I went out to dinner with a couple of girlfriends last night and we had quite a few great conversations. Sometimes you just need to go out with some friends who accept you for who you are, without expectations, and just be present.  To set the scene here - all of us are mid 30s. I was not a fan of The Office when it first started. I didn't give it a second thought. However, 5 years ago, a guy I was seeing told me to give it a try... so I did. To say I speak in fluent quotes from this show is an understatement. One year later...

  It's been a year since my life was completely turned upside down. 365 days since I experienced an attack by nature in what I thought was supposed to be my safe space.  Life has a wonderful way of putting you on the path you are meant to be on. There is no denying that - and I will die on that hill. After much reflection and healing, it’s time to talk some truth. I will be clear - this is not to put anything out in the world that wasn’t already there.  Healing can be messy. Healing can hurt while it is in process. Healing is not linear.
