Day 5 - What Is Something You're Loving Reading or Listening To?

Before I get into this post - I am so excited to share this is the 100th published post for Anything About Everything!!! Thank you so much for reading any post, and hopefully it speaks to you somehow. Thank you for giving me this platform to share life experiences - know that you are not alone! This has been such an incredible outlet for me - as I have always wanted to be a writer, and the love this blog has received over the last 3 years has been incredible! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!

I cannot tell you the last time I sat down to read. I love to read - but with a busy busy schedule, a brain that does NOT shut off, and a guilt of just sitting around, I can't get into a good book right now.

I was reading "How To Do The Work" by Dr. Nicole LaPera before my brain started running 24/7. It was a great look at why we do what we do, and how to actually do the work to make changes in your life. If you've been following this blog for a while, you know how much I value self help and personal development. I am hoping to get back into it soon!

This should come as no surprise that I am loving listening to Christmas music - but if I had to pick something outside of that.. I would have to say the new Bad Wolves album or the Dan + Shay playlist I made in anticipation of FINALLY seeing them on December 7th with my college roommate!

Both instances showcase different parts of my love of music. I can listen to the heavy stuff occasionally, but not all the time. Bad Wolves does a great job of balancing that for me. Dan + Shay have been favorites of mine since they hit the scene in 2012 and I could not imagine my music library without them! I am hopeful to use one of their songs as the first dance song at my wedding.... we'll see how that goes!

I am so glad I was raised with a broad spectrum of music. I am grateful for the open mind when some of my favorite artists dabble in other genres - if it makes them happy AND it's good, its a double win for the listener.

What are YOU listening to or reading that is bringing you joy?
