Man Crush Monday

Day 14 of 30

Today - 5 celebrity crushes.

Coincidental that it coincides with Man Crush Monday - I don't hate it. Below, you will find 5 of my favorite men and my reasoning behind why I drool every time I see them. The list is obviously longer than this, as I am always on the lookout but in order to keep this within the parameters of the challenge, we'll go with 5.

Man Number 1: Jordan Davis

The first time I saw Jordan Davis was when he opened for Chase Rice in November of 2015 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was the first opening act, having just signed a record deal. I took one look at him and was like "eh.. not my type." Then, he released his debut album at the beginning of this year and well, my opinion changed. NOT my type at all, I don't particularly care for the big lumberjack type, but his personality (based on social media videos) is just the sweetest. It's true - personality can make a person attractive!

Man Number 2: Ryan Reynolds

This is a no brainer. Ryan Reynolds is so flipping handsome - and gets even more so with age. He now owns a gin company, has a successful niche with Deadpool, and is downright hilarious. I think I have seen almost every movie he has been in (I have a few I need to see still), and have laughed so hard my sides hurt. His recent discussion circling around his crippling anxiety just made me love him more. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, hearing that celebrities also go through some of the things us mere mortals do is heartwarming. If you suffer from anything like anxiety or depression, you are not alone!

Man Numer 3: Jesse Lee Soffer

As a serious fangirl of the entire Chicago series on NBC (Fire, Med, PD), this hunk is certainly one that makes my heart race. He is linked to Sophia Bush (not sure if that's still a thing), which by association makes him incredible. His character is super intense, having a military background as a detective in a very selective unit on Chicago PD - and did I mention yummy? Because yum. YUM.

Man Number 4: Tim Tebow

Everyone gives Tim Tebow a bad rep because he is open about his faith. I think it's endearing and we need more people like him in the spotlight. While I can't comment on his athletic ability on the football field, I do like that he plays baseball. As a diehard Red Sox fan, I refuse to root for the Mets - but I do root for Tebow. He finds inspiration in almost everything he does, and it's refreshing. I thoroughly respect his life decisions, and don't hate that he's 9 months older than me either. If I brought him home for Thanksgiving, I think my parents would weep with happiness!

Man Number 5: Ian Somerhalder

This should not come as a surprise to anyone remotely close to me. Ian was known to me for 8 years as the sexiest bad boy on Earth (contending with Charlie Hunnam - love em both!). His character had a good heart with a bad streak - but his life outside that character is inspiring. Him and his wife are both activists for making the Earth a better place, and living your best life. His foundation, the IS Foundation, works to educate and empower people to care about the world we live in and make a difference. I made that my charity to donate to when I shop on smile.amazon.com!
