Goals on goals on goals

Day 29 of 30

As we wind down, with one more day left of the challenge, I figured a discussion surrounding goals and goal setting would be appropriate.

With every month comes a new chance to start fresh. Sure, New Years is a great time to reevaluate what you want out of the coming year - but have you thought about breaking your goals down into monthly feats? It's less overwhelming, more attainable, and you feel SO accomplished when you cross stuff off!

So, what're some my goals for the next 30 days?

  • Keep blogging - 3-5 days a week
  • Readjust my criteria for a new living situation
  • Get to the gym 4-6 times a week
  • Enjoy every small victory, no matter what it is
  • Start cleaning out some stuff in the house
  • Keep my eating 80/20 - allow a few cheats a week (meals not days)
  • Reconnect with 3 people I've lost touch with
  • Save as much money as possible through the end of the summer
  • Get to the cemetery at least once to visit Nana, Granddaddy, and Uncle Rob

I am excited to see what June holds. We are half way through the year already! Where the time goes, I am not entirely sure. What I DO know is that the next half of the year is going to fly just as fast, if not faster, so it's time to reel in and ENJOY every day to the fullest.

I will also assess where I am at in terms of my 2018 goals. I have a running list in a notebook that I read twice a month. Sometimes I cross stuff off, sometimes I end up playing catch up. Either way, I am well on my way to crushing goals.

How do you look at your goals? I break mine into buckets: Life, Love, Health & Fitness, Home. I set them for the year, and readjust every month based on how life is going. A lot of things NEVER go according to plan, and that's okay. Readjusting shifts focus and allows us to see things a little differently.

So over the next few days, I challenge you to write down some goals for June. Write them somewhere you can cross them off as you crush them - and revisit your annual goals.

I also challenge you to at least 2 days a week of disconnection. Use this time to focus your energy on reading, goal setting, quiet time. Find something that will remove you from the every day noise of the world and center yourself. Watch how your life changes!
