January 91st?

This month was definitely a long one. Sure, it had 31 days like it does every year. But my goodness it felt like it would never end. Let's review, shall we?

January started off pretty rocky for me, but started to smooth out by the first full week of the year. Between getting a 24 hour stomach bug the first weekend of the month and just feeling completely wiped out - it was brutal. Which meant that the only place we could go was up - and this month rapidly increased in the positivity department.

Getting myself back on a healthier lifestyle routine was the root of that happiness and change. Adjusting my thinking, projecting my goals, and following through with what I set up for myself has been an incredible step in my journey. In the spirit of starting this year off on the right foot, I managed to clean out my room, rearrange it, AND keep it in great shape. This is a huge step for me, as I am typically an organize person but my room is usually a disaster. Living with someone who is super supportive, even though she doesn't have to be has also been a huge game changer. Ash - you're support at home has been incredible and I am so grateful we're roommates!!

I decided to give myself some grace when I started 2019. 2018 had a lot of changes, adjustments, heartbreak, growth, excitement, and loss. It's been a ride, for sure, but what would life be if it wasn't full of all those things? BORING that's what! I came to terms with some personal battles I had been fighting, and let other things go. Sometimes, it's not worth holding on to nonsense (actually, all the time but let's move on!).

January in Review:

Biggest Dream
My biggest dream this year is to travel a bit more - out of the country, within the country - whichever.

Vision for the Next Year
My vision for this year is to build some incredible side businesses while working full time. I want to get the most out of this year, and create a life of financial freedom and reduce the burden I am currently under.

One Lesson Learned this Month
One lesson I learned this month - people are going to be intimidated by you regardless of whether they know you or not. They are going to take measures to try and come between you and your close friends, and in the end - you just need to be yourself. They will learn.

Behavior to Let Go
Taking everything so personal. This month was full of a lot of learning how to let things roll off if they have no direct effect on me.

Currently Reading
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I am on book 2 of 10 in the Outlander series! So good.

Favorite Dish Right Now
I make a MEAN baked cheddar ranch chicken - that's definitely at the top of the list.. next to the tortellini soup I cooked up a few times.

Biggest Victory this Month
Losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks. HUGE victory - and I am sleeping better.

What Makes You Proud of Yourself
I said that 2019 would be a better year overall. I am lovin' myself more, reading more, spending more time with my thoughts, and looking at ways I can grow. I have stuck with this new lifestyle for 3 weeks, dropped 10 pounds, and am STICKING WITH IT. That's huge.

Last Self-Care Activity
Got my nails done 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair done AND my nails.

Favorite Hobby
I love making fleece tie blankets. It's one of the most relaxing things for me lately!

Past Month in One Word
Growth

How did your month stack up? Start keeping track of your thoughts in a journal and reflect monthly. Where can you grow? What can you change to be a better version of you?
