Thank-FULL Heart

November is notorious for being the only month every year that people truly reflect on how thankful they are for things in their lives. I get it - November is home to the best holiday on EARTH: Thanksgiving. Delicious home cooked meals are absolutely things to be grateful for! Memories and time with family - huge mega grateful point.

But what about your life? What in your life are you grateful for? What has changed in your life that needed to, in order for you to be happy? What has changed in your life that you didn't want to, but it did anyway?

I am grateful for...

Friends that turned into family
Aside from my brother, and a few extended family members, family is scarce for me to come by at home. Thankfully, I have an incredible group of friends who have pulled me out of some dark places and have enriched my life in so many ways. We may not see each other near as often as we would like, but when we DO get together, it's always a good time. I love my little FRamily.

"Men" ghosting me
It took some time, but I finally realized that it's not a reflection of me. It's a very clear reflection of them. To the guys that ghosted me this year, thank you. I was able to take a clear look at what I want from a future partner, and finally have a grasp on who I want to be in a relationship (spoiler alert: myself!)

"Friends" cutting me out
This happens in life, right? You lose friends, gain friends - it's a part of growing up. Tying it into lessons learned from ghosting - I learned what I need to look for in order for friendships to last (shout out to the true few who've stuck around for more than a minute!). I've learned what it's like to have your character questioned because of public slander - and I'm not even hurt by it. I know who I am, my close circle of friends know who I am - that's all that matters. Thank you for removing yourselves from my life!

Making a difference through work
The company I started working for in April is a huge difference making company. While I am not hands on in the labs, I am helping the sales team sell the products and services the company offers by keeping their accounts in order. No, I don't have direct contact with any part of the studies or testing, but I still have a tiny part in making a difference.

The best living situation around
It's no secret that the last 5 years have tested my patience and taught me a lot about living with people. My current roommate (who I've known f0r 13...14 years?) is awesome, our apartment is absolutely adorable, and it all just works. I haven't been there for more than a weekend in 2 weeks, and probably won't be there longer than a week until after Christmas, but I never feel like a stranger in the apartment. I never feel like I can't just live - unlike before, when I felt stifled and judged for anything I ever did.

The people I have connected with
The health and wellness company I am a part of has some pretty amazing people attached to it. I recently connected with someone who I've never met (off social media) who has inspired me during my entire time as a part of this company. She lives in Georgia, but thanks to social media, we connected last week. She has NO idea how much her words mean to me - supporting other women through the power of inspiration and motivation. Speaking life and support to a girl who just needed a little nudge in the right direction - that's a true leader. Thank you, Meg, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing yours!!

Furthermore, there are people I have reconnected with via social media that have inspired me so much. They started their own businesses centering around life coaching, ultimately spreading the positive energy we so badly need in this world. You ladies have had an incredible impact on my self love/personal development journey, and I could not be more grateful for you!!

Signs from those that have left us
I was never a true believer in signs or messages from those that have passed on. Until my grandparents passed last year. Since then, I have seen and felt things from them and a dear friend who passed, reminding me they are always with me, and aren't leaving my side. If I saw one more dragonfly at a random moment this summer I was going to capture it and make it my pet - just so it was always around. Everyone has their own form of communication with those who left us - what makes your heart smile?

This blog
When I started this blog, I had no idea how it would be received. I had run a few blogs in the past, but they weren't overly popular. This one has been an incredible outlet, source of inspiration, and overall happy energy according to quite a few friends. Thank you for supporting this little project and I look forward to growing it over the next year. If you ever have a topic you'd like discussed, I am always happy to accommodate!

My heart is so full. Removing negative energy from my life is an ongoing process, but the steps I've made in 7 months have far surpassed where I thought I would be at this time in my life. With the big 3-0 right around the corner (it's just a birthday, but I am reflecting more now that I am entering a new season and new decade in life), I am more excited and ready to take on new challenges!

What are you grateful for?
